Common Name: Atropine, An alkaloid of Belladonna.

Causes & Symptoms for Atropinum

• All kinds of illusions of vision is an indication for this remedy.
• Everything appears large.
• Clonic cramp in face and limbs (moves arms forward in front of chest)
• It has been used homeopathically for neuralgias ; supraorbital mainly.
• The beer aggravates the empty feeling in stomach and causes painful pressure.
• Stiffness of left knee, left leg and in right great toe.

Mind and Head

Vertigo in morning on rising,Aching ; with vertigo, pain in back and nausea indicates Atropinum

Apprehension after his internal restlessness, soon amounting to anxiety.

Eyes, ear, nose

Sneezing caused by glaring light ; and rubbing nose frequently. Dryness at night, especially along median line and on each side of it.

Hears tinkling bells. Sharp pain under right eye with aching in temples indciates Atropinum

Mouth and Throat

Difficulty of speech: frequent stuttering, especially at words difficult to pronounce, rapid and chattering.

Stomach and abdomen

Uneasiness, with empty eructations, then with nausea and retching, increasing to a pressing sticking and contractive pain

Urinary complaints

Involuntary, but scanty, nocturnal enuresis.

Female complaints

Cutting, drawing pains in left ovary, extorting, screams, better bending, ovary swollen and tender during menses

Extremities

Tingling in ends of fingers and toes, Hands feel dry and glossy

Generalities

Giddiness and staggering,  Restless through night.

Side effects of Atropinum

There are no such side effects. But every medicine should be taken following the rules as given.

It is safe to take the medicine even if you are on other mode of medication like allopathy medicines, ayurvedic etc.

Dosage and rules while taking Atropinum

Take 5 drops in half cup of water three times a day.

You can also medicate the globules and take 3 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Precautions while taking Atropinum

Always keep a gap of 15 minutes before or after meals when you take medicine.

If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a homeopathic practitioner before use.
